I love this so much! It's so incredibly beautiful and clever and magical – you can see how captivating it is from the looks on people's faces. Canadian artist Caitlind Brown created this interactive installation made out of 6,000 lightbulbs collected from the public – 1,000 of them working and the rest were burnt-out bulbs for a late night festival in Nuit Blanche in Calgary, Canada. Viewers were able to turn the working lights on using chains hanging from the bulbs, creating a beautiful flickering effect. The fascinating build process can be viewed on the Cloud blog.

Abbey McCulloch artwork
Gold Coast based artist Abbey McCulloch is inspired by women and is well known for her brightly hued artworks featuring seductive forms and features. Her semi-abstract interpretations of women are both confident and vulnerable at the same time bringing up themes of gender and identity. She says 'The body is the site of so much personal conflict. I paint and draw women because the relationship within us has that volatility and tension. To toy with femininity is to begin to understand it, and I can do this by watching women. We all do. We all seem to validate ourselves to some degree by observing'.

ferm LIVING AW12
ferm LIVING'S AW12 catalogue is now available and not only do I love the products, I also love the muted styling of the catalogue - slate greys, soft pastels and pops of neon accents are all presented in a beautiful retro house designed by Danish architect Erik Christian Sorensen.

Khai Liew
Khai Liew's furniture are extraordinarily beautiful - the pale blond timbers and clean, geometric nature of his designs are highly understated, with amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail. Khai Liew spent over 20 years working as a consultant and restorer of classic Asian and mid-century Danish furniture, and these cultural influences are evident in his pieces today.
